Warren County Athlete Leaping to New Heights

Warren County's Ed'Ricus Williams has set his goals high this year.  Williams' goal is 7'2 1/4" to be exact.  That is what the Class A high jump record is in the state of Georgia.  Williams hopes to best that mark next week in the state track meet.  Williams has already jumped 7' earlier this year.

Ed'Ricus was featured in a WRDW News report as the top high jumper in the state and one of the top 2 high school high jumpers in the nation.  Williams has accomplished this despite the lack of high jump equipment to practice with at the school.  His only practice comes when he goes to meets to compete.

Ed'Ricus has already been awarded a full track scholarship to Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach.
